INDIVIDUAL  Health Care Plan

For any student with a chronic medical condition or special health need requiring ongoing management—such as severe allergies, asthma, diabetes, or seizure disorders—an Individual Health Care Plan (IHCP) must be completed and submitted to the center. This plan must be on file before the child’s start date to ensure staff are fully trained and prepared to support the child’s health and safety.

INDIVIDUAL ALLERGY AND ANAPHYLAXIS EMERGENCY PLAN

For any student with a known life-threatening allergy, a completed Individual Allergy and Anaphylaxis Emergency Plan must be on file with the center prior to the child's first day of attendance. Important Policies

Attendance & Timing

To ensure the best care for all children, we have a 9.5-hour attendance policy. A child cannot be at the center for more than 9.5 hours daily. Stay beyond this limit will result in an additional $35 fee. We also ask families to drop off by 9:30 AM, unless you notify us prior of a later drop off.

Toys from Home

We discourage bringing toys from home to avoid potential loss and conflicts. We emphasize the joy of sharing our own selection of quality Little Explorers toys with all our friends.

Personal Care & Sun Safety

Parents must apply sunscreen before school. You may send labeled sunscreen for afternoon reapplication. Additionally, please provide labeled diapers and wipes; we will notify you when replacements are needed.

Health & Illness Policies

A doctor’s note is required after more than two sick days. Children must remain home for 24 hours after vaccines and 24 hours after starting antibiotics. If a child becomes ill at the center, parents must pick them up within one hour.

  • Children must be symptom-free for 24 hours and stay home if experiencing:
  • Fever (100.4°F or higher) or chills
  • Cough or shortness of breath
  • Loss of taste or smell
  • Fatigue or muscle aches
  • Sore throat or headache
  • Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
  • Congestion or runny nose

Common Questions

What is the enrollment process?

Our process begins with a tour of the center, followed by filling out the Enrollment Form and providing a medical release. Once we review these, we will confirm your child's start date.

What items should I bring from home?

Please provide labeled a cott/crib sheet, diapers, extra clothing, wipes, and sunscreen. We ask that personal toys stay at home. Snacks and organic learning materials are provided by the daycare.

Do you offer a half-day program?

Yes. Only our Toddler and Preschool classrooms are eligible for our half-day option. The half-day schedule is from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM at a daily rate of $58.

Do you provide AM and PM snacks?

Yes! We currently provide AM and PM snack for our Toddler and Preschool classrooms; families are asked to send daily lunches for their kiddos.

Access immediate answers regarding enrollment steps, daily schedules, and half-day options, alongside our essential daycare policies.

How often do you close for inclement weather?

We always prioritize the safety of our staff and students. We aim to remain open as consistently as possible while making sure everyone can travel safely to and from the center.

Do you have any discounts?

Yes. Depending on the time of year and availability, we may offer limited discounts, as we understand how the cost of childcare can feel overwhelming for families.

Do you offer a part-time option?

Yes. We offer part-time enrollment with a two-day minimum to be considered enrolled.
